Learn More About The Different Lenses
Each of the different suggestions for summer reading projects falls within a different learning style. These choices encourage students to explore, strengthen and share what they see through their unique lens. This will be the exciting, new theme for the 2017-2018 school year!
The Artistic Lens - Some learners like to create visual images to represent their learning. They see and think in pictures. They lean toward music and art to represent their ideas.
The STEM Lens - Some learners like to research, calculate, design and build to express an idea. They enjoy projects focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The Writing Lens - Some learners are most comfortable with words. They thrive when they can create an original story, craft a poem or write to explain.
The Social Lens - Some learners enjoy talking to learn. They like to make text-to-self and text-to-world connections and enjoy verbal interaction with others.
